Fans of the greatest football club in the world can now get to see the incredibly beautiful little country their new star striker comes from, with a direct flight service from Manchester to Ljubljana!

This is Slovenia's Blackpool.. Pretty Piran on the Mediterranean coast just a short hop from the Lodge..

Easyjet started the new service from November 2025 flying twice weekly between the two cities on Mondays and Fridays..  

Ljubljana airport is a cute little modern airport with the most amazing approach sequence coming in over the Alps and then landing in a ridiculously Green meadow in front of the airport..

The Grass really is GREENER in Slovenia.. This is the far edge of the biggest Disappearing Lake in Europe, 25 mins from the Lodge..

Greater Manchester has almost one million more inhabitants than the whole of Slovenia, so be prepared for a peaceful, but active holiday in the Greenest small country in Europe!

Slovenia sits slap bang in the middle of Europe too and so you will quickly notice this dinky Green paradise has a little bit of everything that is amazing about Europe in every corner.. And there are a lot of corners!

Swap the Manchester Ship Canal for Kanal, a stunning village sat on top of the Soca river, exactly one hour from the Lodge..

We positioned our Lodge in the middle of everything worth seeing, between the Alpine mountains & the Mediterranean coast, with just a simple 50 min motorway drive directly from Ljubljana airport to the Lodge to begin your Green Slovenian adventures!

The Lodge is nestled into the Green Karst on the edge of Slovenia's Mediterranean region..

Summer flights always seem to book up quickly, so act soon, but we always tip April, May and September & October as the very best times to visit Green Slovenia anyway, if you can, when the numerous, sensational water features are full and the temperatures on the sunny side of the Alps are usually extremely pleasant! 

Don't worry about missing the match either, as you can watch all the best premier league games here in Slovenia and we also have a cinema room that gets very busy with nationalities from all around the world for the big games, especially for the World cup and European cup tournaments!

Lipica, the world wide home of the Lipizzaner Horse breed is 20 mins down the road from the Lodge..

Easyjet also offer flights from Edinburgh & Gatwick to Ljubljana and there is an even closer airport to reach the Lodge from at Trieste in north Italy, just 45 mins to the Lodge..

Lodge guests also fly to the very well connected Venice airport and Treviso in Italy and Zagreb, Pula or Rijeka in Croatia! 

Green Slovenia has 7 wine regions producing lots of unique wines that you can ONLY find here..

There are lots of different airlines offering connections to this beautiful part of the world, so we also did a FLIGHTS page to help you decide how to fly to Green Slovenia, but the flight schedules and connections are constantly changing and maybe when the people of Manchester discover what a fantastically uber beautiful country Mr Sesko comes from, Easyjet might need to put on some more flights!

We also get guests arriving from all over Europe by train, bus, car, E car, bike, E bike and surprisingly many hikers too, using the ancient paths that criss cross Slovenia!
